Video's!

After a long night working and away from my baby, I had to document some catching up time. I missed him so much! I think he and dad did well, at least that's what Tom wants me to believe (he's smart)!

I love my baby boy so much!

Happy Father's Day Tom!

Happy 1st Father's Day Tom!!!

You are a great dad to Mitch, and we both love you for that!

Here are a few pictures of you and your son together!

I have more, but they are on my dad's camera... not available till next weekend. I'll post more of the men in my life later!
Mitch says "I Love You Dad!"
Mommy loves Daddy too! Happy Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day Dad!

Happy Father's Day to all the Father's out there!

I have an extra special father, who I love very much. He's not into all the sappiness that surrounds love, and celebrating days like today, so I'll spare him any more words of praise, love and admiration and just post some of my favorite pictures of him over the last few years!

Love you Dad!
First picture taken with my fancy camera! Gotta love it!

Making faces the night before Tom & I got married in Belize.

Getting some lovin' from two of his girls.

He never drinks out of a straw... most of the time if there's a straw in his drink it ends up in his nose! LOL!!

Silly faces.

In Belize on a boat trip through the rivers of the mainland.
Shaking his fist at the Mayan temple of the Rain God for not sending him more rain.

Getting ready for a giant stride into the waters off of Ambergris Caye, Belize.

Diving in Belize, out of his rut.

Eating ice cream on the Alaska cruise boat, before it left port!

Goofing around in the hallways of the cruise boat.

I call this one Grizzly Grandpa... he was documenting his beard before he shaved it off for the summer. He's not sure he'll grow it again. I think he liked it too much to not to grow it back again.

Lovin' Mitch
Ooopps! The names and faces of those involved have been withheld to protect their identities. Or... can you say blackmail photos for when Mitch is older and brings girls home! LOL!!!
Happy Father's Day Dad! Wish I was there to celebrate with you!

Two Months!

Can't believe that 2 months ago, Tom and I were at the hospital waiting for our baby to come! It seems like forever ago! Mitch will be two months old tomorrow, Tom's 1st Fathers Day. I also start back to work tomorrow night. I'm scared to leave my baby! Even though he'll be in the capable arms/hands of his daddy, it's going to be very hard. I hope we all do fine and don't cry too much!
Sorry I haven't updated in a while... life's kinda busy with a baby, even when it seems like I get nothing done. Mitch has been a little fussy since early May. At first I thought it was just a growth spurt, but all the fussiness didn't go away. So after taking dairy out of my diet, treating Mitch with antibiotics for fluid behind his ear drum, and medicating him for silent reflux, he seems to be doing better. We still think he has some tummy issues evidenced by painful gas, but we are still trying to figure that out.

Mitch weighed 12lbs 13.75oz at the pediatricians office last Saturday. He's getting so big! He holds his head up like a champ. He likes to stand on your lap and look at everything. He's smiling and talking (cooing) a bunch. He's best friends with the ceiling fan in our room, they share inside jokes! I told Tom that Mitch is the#1 fan in the fan fan club! I know I'm a dork! He still hasn't figured out how to sleep for more than 3-4 hour stretches at night, but daddy says they are going to work on it!
On to the pictures... I know you are here more for those, than my banter! =)
Here's Mitch in his cute ducky outfit, it says "Squeeze Me"
Tom feeding Mitch his first successful bottle!
Taking a bath in the sink... good times! I'll spare you the pictures of what he did in that sink as I snapped the next picture!
Snoozing in the bassinet, striking the thinkers pose, he does this a lot!
I thought this was a cool picture/silhouette, Tom & Mitch.
Look at all that hair! It has a red highlight to it... where did that come from??
Striking a pose!
Mitch says:"Hey paparazzi! Quit taking my picture!"

Paparazzi wanted another photo, Mitch said: "NO WAY!"

The next few photos are a sequence of tummy time in the Boppy!

The captions are what Mitch is thinking.
Just hanging out... in the Boppy... AGAIN!

Reposition a little... much more comfy like this.

Hey I can kick and jump a little in this position, I'm having fun!

Uh-Oh, I jumped too far, MMMOOOMMM!

MOM, why are you taking pictures and not saving me? I'm telling Dad!

Disclaimer: No Mitches were harmed in the filming of that sequence!
LOL!

FYI: time in the Boppy does not always equal unhappy time.

His onesie says Daddy's little sunshine, so cute!

Un-Mitch Related News:

Memorial Day weekend Tom decided to tackle the yard and install a sprinkler system, what fun!

Tom in his lifeguard hat that I had to make him wear, working hard. They had already finished trenching the front yard at this point.

My brother Jon and his son Dustin came over to help... nothing else better to do on a holiday weekend.
A shot of the torn up yard from the roof of the house.
My nephew Kellen graduated from High School, I can't believe he's old enough to do that... how old am I?? Ugh! He'll be heading to NAU in the Fall, I'm so proud of him!

Back to Mitch related stuff...

Auntie Krista comes over every now and then to give mom a break. Mitch and Krista had some snuggle time for a nap.

My Grandmother passed away June 1st, jut 26 days shy of her 100th birthday. I'm so glad that Tom and I took the time to go to Duncan to visit her soon after Mitch was born. She loved babies. I'll treasure the pictures and video I have of Mitch with his Great Grandma.
Krista, Donell, and I went to Duncan to help my dad and be there for the family as they arrived. We cooked and cleaned a lot and Mitch was a good snuggle buddy for his great aunts and uncles. Unfortunately a lot of the pictures I took over the week we were there are on my dad's camera, and I won't have access to them til next weekend. But here are a few that I do have from my cameras.

Grandpa & Mitch napping

A snotty nose on a happy kid... it's a little dusty at the ranch!

Mitch and Grandpa having a conversation.

Aunt Marjie holding Mitch. She was practicing holding babies, so she'd be ready to hold two new grand babies in the next two months. Two of her kids, my cousins are having babies real soon. Becky and her husband are expecting their 6th baby in late June, and Henry and his wife are expecting their 1st in late July. Both boys!

Aunt Carol holding Aethelia in foreground & Aunt Marjie holding Mitch in the background.
Mitch passed out on Grandma's shoulder at the luncheon after the funeral services.

Once I get the pictures from my dad's camera, I'll post more from the funeral. A lot of family we rarely see was there. Some we may never see again, so I took a lot of pictures!

Here are a few pictures from this past week. I swear our boy is growing like a weed!

Mitch playing on his activity mat... he loves to talk to the octopus hanging above him.

"Dangit! She put me on my tummy in this thing AGAIN!!!"

Smiles!

Talking!

Sitting up in the Boppy!

Mitch & Mom! Pardon the no make-up and bad hair!

Trying to get a smile on camera, without looking through the view finder... he won't smile much with the camera in front of my face.

Talking some more...

Silly Faces.

Hey... what's that? Let's look a little closer...

Holy Frijoles, I think my kid is starting to teethe. I saw a little white spot, figured it was some milk or something... tried to wipe it away and felt the bump! Can we say over-achiever? That's why he's been drooling, and may account for some of the fussies.

Lot's of love to everyone... I'll try to update more frequently!
