17 weeks today!

Holy Cow! Have I been the super slacker on updating this blog. Needless to say, our schedule has been hectic the last month or so. We had a get-together at our house, and we went to Brentwood. The prep and recovery for all of it was very time consuming and my work schedule has been not that desirable the last month or so. I hope to have that straightened out over the next month or so. Mamma's been tired a lot. =)

Mitch is getting so big. He's started to laugh on occasion, with a lot of coaxing, it's stinkin' cute. We've been trying to get it on video, but the little stinker gets infatuated with the camera, so much that we can't distract him with trying to make him laugh. We've been working on sitting up and he's tri-poding pretty decently. He's still pretty jerky with some of his movements and that makes him topple every time, but he's getting better and better every day! He is extremely interested in food, or anything that goes in our mouths. He will lunge for and try to grab food in our hands. He loves to drink sips of water from the water bottles, not sure if it's the cold water or what, but he loves it. He wants everything in his mouth and makes the funniest grunting noises when he's trying to get it there. He's chewing on his hands a lot and just recently started having his thumb in his mouth quite a bit. He's a mover and a shaker. He will roll immediately to his tummy when we put him on the floor. He can scoot himself in circles on his play mat. He loves talking to the baby in the mirror.

We have his 4 month check up next week. and I'll update with his stats then.

Now on to the pictures...

We went to my nephew Dustin's birthday party, had fun with an outdoor BBQ in the middle of summer! Here's Dustin showing off his new bike!

Hanging out with his "favorite Aunt Krista"! This is how she refers to herself with the kiddo's! LOL!

Do we look tired?

I love our little family!

The formerly known as Cambern sisters!
All the girls... Marianne, Michelle, Krista holding Aethelia, me, and Donell holding Mitch.

Aethelia, she has pretty blue eyes!

We aren't sure what color eyes Mitch will have... it seems like they change day to day and with what he wears. They vary from blue to greenish to brownish/hazel.

Snoozing, what a cutie pie, wanna squish those cheeks and I just love his lips!
Grandpa giving Mitch a drink of water, he loves it!
Missy holding Mitch so he can show off his swimming duds! His shorts were down to his ankles!
First time swimming, or I should say in the pool!
He really enjoyed it!
I bought Mitch a jumperoo off Craigslist. It was practically brand new for half the price, and he loves it!

He was just a little to short/light for his toes to touch the ground, so I put one of my Nursing school books to good use! It's seen more action under the jumper the last few weeks than it did in the 2 years of nursing school I went through. LOL! Glad to be finally getting some of my money out of it!

Cutie-patootie!

This was a funny one, had to throw it in here!

It's like he's saying, "hey, don't take a picture of me, I'm NAKED!"
Chillin' in the bouncer, munching on the bug toy.
In the back seat of my dads truck on the way to Brentwood. playing with moms sunglasses, and hanging out with Bruno. Ezio was on the floor, he doesn't really like car rides.
Grandpa sharing a soda with Mitch. Not really, he was just letting him chew on the can a little.
Jumping in Aethelia's jumper, having a blast!
Alexis and Mitch
Uncle Duane and Mitch
Missy and Bradley
Mom and Mitch
Kellen and Mitch
The guys shot off 2-liter bottles of water with a contraption my dad built, it made the bottles soar.
Mitch in Grandpa's cowboy hat, stinkin' cute!
Yum, dutch oven cooking. I think it was peach cobbler, yummy!
This is what happens when you leave your child unsupervised in my family. We snuck away to get a shower and we came back yo Mitch chewing on some red vines! He loved it!
Here are the culprits in action!
Munching on licorice, led to a bath... camping style. Water heated by the fire, baby in a bucket, gotta take pictures!

Aethelia came by to investigate, she thought it was an interesting event.
Here are the 3 boy cousins. Dustin 11, Kellen 18, abd Mitch 3 months.

Mitch all bundled up in his warm clothes by the fire with grandpa.

We had a good time at Brentwood, lots of work to get ready for it, but once we got up there it was really nice to be in the cool weather and be around our family and friends.
